Connect the Dots provides support to cultural organisations in the areas of evaluation, audience research, resource development, project design and delivery.
Achievements include establishing the highly successful Kids in Museums’ Takeover Day in England and Wales, supporting multi-million-pound NLHF funding bids through the development of Activity Plans and undertaking numerous evaluations and audience research projects.
Based in Cornwall and working across the UK, the company is led by Jenifer Macindoe, an arts and heritage consultant with two decades of sector experience and a lifelong desire to help people connect with arts and heritage.
My work helps organisations put audiences at the heart of what they do. Over the years I’ve been privileged to work with a diversity of museums, galleries and cultural organisations and I’m equally as effective working with large nationals as with small teams and local venues.
Clients say they find working with me an enjoyable and highly insightful process. I’m naturally curious and thrive on the challenge of helping you understand more about your audiences and their experiences, crucially identifying what this means for you when it matters most. I bring a unique set of experiences gained from working in the culture and education sectors and sound project management skills to help you create experiences and resources for your audiences that really work. I’m flexible, resourceful and reliable.

‘This insight into our visitors is is soooo interesting, thank you! I’ve shared with my team and there were some really positive results in there to celebrate, as well as a few real surprises. We used those celebrations, and surprises, as the foundation for this year’s annual planning day. It really helped us to focus on what all our diverse visitors enjoy and need us to improve on. It’s been the best evaluation process I’ve been involved in. Thank you for making it so easy for us.’
‘Jenie has worked with Kids in Museums as a project evaluator for a number of years. Her evaluation skills and museum and heritage sector knowledge have produced excellent and robust project reports with practical recommendations for future work. The insights drawn from her analysis have been hugely valuable to our organisation, helping us to ensure our projects remain relevant and responsive to the needs of museums and young people. Jenie is also a pleasure to work with and I would thoroughly recommend her to any museum or heritage organisation.’
‘We all think you’ve done a great job in combining all of our accounts of the project, and capturing the thoughts of the young people as well. We really appreciate the recommendations at the end and will be referring to them in our project debrief in a couple of weeks’ time. The comments on the copies given back to me from team members featured plenty of “Yes!” and “Let’s take this suggestion to our review” etc so it has been a useful read already!’
‘Jenie was a fantastic consultant to work with. She has a very measured and strategic approach, identifying the key areas of focus for us as an organisation and ensuring that the whole team was included in the process. One of her main strengths was the ability to consult and engage with different stakeholders and make the review process easy to understand and navigate- a real achievement on a very complicated project.’
